Soft Ghee Mysore Pak – A quick and easy recipe!!

The blog for today is recipe for Ghee Mysore pak. Mysore pak can be made at home in a short time and is loved by many across.

Ingredients :

Besan Flour1 cup
Sugar1 cup
Ghee1 ½ cup
Water¼ cup


i)Roast the besan flour for 5 minutes in low flame.
ii)Remove the roasted besan flour from the stove and add 1 cup Ghee.
iii)Mix the Ghee and besan flour without any lumps.
iv)Keep the mixture aside.


i)Boil the sugar and water in a thick-bottomed pan till we get one string consistency.


i)Add step 1 mixture into the sugar syrup(from step 2).
ii)Stir the mixture continuously by adding the ghee(1/2 cup) gradually .
iii)When the ghee starts to appear after stirring for sometime,remove the pan from stove.

Tips: While removing the mixture,make sure the mixture is not sticking to the pan.


i)Pour the mixture immediately into a ghee-greased plate .
ii)Pat the mixture with the oil-greased spoon to get a perfect shape.
iii)Cut it into different shapes (Square,Rectangle,Diamond etc…) as our wish.


i)After the mysore pak gets cooled-off,remove the pieces
