Roasted Gram Laddu | Pottukadalai Urundai | Maaladu – A one of it’s kind sweet. It is easy to make. The contents required are also less. It is one of the main items in many weddings down south.

Ingredients :

Roasted Gram1/2 Cup
Sugar3/4 Cup
GheeAs Required
Almonds(Optional)As Required
Cardamom4 Nos


  1. Roast Almonds in Ghee and keep aside.


  1. Grind Roasted Gram,Cardamom and Sugar into a fine powder.
  2. Keep it aside.


  1. Heat Ghee in a pan.
  2. Add Powdered mixture (from Step 2) and roast it till the freshness is gone.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a plate and make it into balls with roasted almonds(From Step 1)when it is hot.

Tips:If it cools down ,it will be hard to make balls.
