Chana Peas Pulao Recipe!


1Basmati Rice1 1/2 Cup
2Chana1/2 Cup
3Peas1/4 Cup
4Refined Oil1 Tbsp
5Ghee1 Tbsp
6Ginger Garlic Paste2 Tbsp
7Cashews and RaisinsAs Required
8Cinnamon2 Inch
9Cloves3 Nos
10Star Anise1 No
11Pepper1/2 Tsp
12Cardamom3 Nos
13Cumin Seeds1 Tsp
14Fennel Seeds1 Tsp
15Bay leaves2 Nos
16BlackStone Flower1 No
18Tomato1 No
19Green Chillies3 No
20Coriander leavesAs Required
21Mint leavesAs Required
22Coconunt Milk3 Cups
23SaltAs Required


  1. Soak Chana and Peas for 5 hours.
  2. Wash and Soak Basmati Rice for 15 minutes.


  1. Heat Oil and Ghee in a Pressure Cooker.
  2. Add Cinnamon, Cloves, Star Anise, Pepper, Cardamom, Cumin Seeds, Fennel Seeds, Bay leaves and BlackStone Flower.
  3. Fry it .
  4. Add Cashews & Raisins and allow it to fry.
  5. Add Slicied Green Chillies and saute it.
  6. Add Chopped Onion and saute it by adding Salt.
  7. Add Ginger Garlic paste and saute it till the raw smell goes away.
  8. Add Chopped Tomatoes and allow it mash completely.
  9. Add Coriander leaves and Mint leaves.
  10. Add Soaked Chana,Peas and Basmati Rice.
  11. Saute it till the Rice gets heated.
  12. Add Coconut Milk and salt.
  13. Give a Mix.
  14. Close the Cooker and let it for 1 Whistle.      


  1. Open the Cooker after 1 Whistle.
  2.  Give a gentle mix and Serve it hot.
