Answers:

  • What Country would you like to visit and why?
    Spain.
Spain.

Whether be it a kid or an adult, from what we have heard and seen on the internet, SPAIN has the most action-packed tourist spots for everyone. The Park Guell, Canary Islands, Del Sol Beach, Pub Crawls, and of course to be mentioned the country is full of great historical monuments like the royal palace of the alhambbra and magnificent catholic churches with mouth wearing architectures spread throughout the country. As passionate photographers and researchers we would love to gain experience in a different country, their culture and through our blogging make locals aware of how our Indian culture is about and make Indians aware of how amazing the Spanish people are!

Fact: For any Indian who is wanting an international vacation, Spain, Italy & Portugal are always on the buckets list.

  • What was the last book/film that captivated you and why?

We all watch movies from time to time, but few movies stick around as a lesson some as a guiding light in the darkness of life. We Consider Coach Carter, one of the most amazing movies ever directed. (Yes, we did not watch the movie when it was released and were late to hop on to the train until recently, but we did eventually!!!)

Coach Carter-an overview: From the beginning till the end this movie reels in every sports fan. This is a story of a team of High School boys in California who are coached in by an alumnus, Ken carter. The School’s records against teams in the competition stages are worse and carter takes it upon himself to discipline the students rather than just coaching them as the game will lead nowhere if the player is not stable. The students are presented with a contract, of excelling in sports and getting a prescribed set of marks in subject & attendance to classes, if they fail the contract, they are out the team. When the students fail to uphold the terms, he punishes them by locking out the gym’s and the court to play amidst a successful stream of wining in the league stages. In summary, this story is about a determined coach who wants the players to be successful people and just not successful athletes.

We can unquestionably attain a lot of understandings and with those we can make our everyday nicer.

We would list a few of them based on the most heart touching dialogues in the movie:

-> Always be punctual – “If basketball practice starts at 3, you are late as of 2:55”.

-> Always be respectful irrespective of young or old – “Sir is a term of respect. And you will have my respect, until you abuse it”.

-> Education for a kid is a priority no matter how good at sports, the game may or may not  give us a livelihood in the future but education gives us the chance to have a better quality of life even when the game may fail. – “These boys are student athletes. ‘Student’ comes first”

-> Basketball (group/team sports) is always a team game and never a single person can outshine the whole team even in victory, Team is the key. – “Worm, you had 5 and 4”. “No sir, I had 12 points and 8 assists”. “No sir, you had 5 turnovers and 4 missed free throws”.

-> Another point to note from the movie is when the punishment was shared keeping team as a key: “I’ll do push ups for him. You said we are a team. One struggles we all struggle. One player triumph’s we all triumph, right?”

->When the team loses, the coach says that people try to find victory in the columns of win/lose in the sports section but only real champions win the war within themselves, they give everything to try and win for the team and results just do not matter after a valiant effort. It is that effort you put in counts more. – “Oh well, now, not quite your story book ending hah?? Not for us anyway. But you men played like champions, you never gave up, and champions hold their heads high. What you achieved goes way beyond the win loss column or what’s gonna be written on the front pages of the sport’s section tomorrow. You’ve achieved something that some people have spent their whole lives trying to find, what you achieved is that ever-elusive victory with-in, and gentlemen I am so proud of you”.

-> Leaders always need to push the people they lead out of their comfort zone in order to grow the team and the players/teammates individually.

The Most important message we need to perceive is: You & the people around you can achieve so much more if you all create the right belief in yourself, you needn’t be a born mathematician/sports person/dancer or anyone but if you have the belief – you would be better than anyone, you get to become anyone YOU want to.

  • Who made you the best Dinner ever, and What was it?

Due to CORONA- the Virus pandemic around the globe, like everyone, we have been in our homes obviously with our family. Blessed by the almighty with the safety of our family and for being able to have some food for every meal, we are comfortable to categorize every meal together as the best meal.

We did not have any special dinner anecdotes to share. We went ahead with a brunch story; we hope that is fine!

But to point out one special occasion, we would pin it to the Indian holiday in January – The Pongal/Baisakhi Festival – a crop produce festival where the farmers start harvesting crops like rice, turmeric, sugarcane, wheat etc., the festival kicks off with the family members showering before the sunrise & starting the rituals of praying to the elements of the earth to keep us hale and healthy (air, water, soil and fire). Usually lasts about 4-5 hours. Later in the day(nearing afternoon), My Mother had made two of the most amazing sweet dishes there are, namely Kesari” & “Payasam Which was served as a starter along with “Pongal” and the other side dish “medhu vadai”, the main course since it was a brunch had to have a tummy filling items, she had made Ladies Finger curry, Brinjal curry, and drumstick pulses sambar(a stew not the deer with antlers, oh god no :P) which were to be mixed with white rice and then a cup of curd with onions and cucumber to finish off the whole meal.

A bonus to you readers, we have recipes for a couple food items mentioned above ready at your disposal in case you want to cook these Indian cuisines at your homes. Do try them and let us know if any questions, our master chef would love to answer them for you!

  • Did you ever have a Dream come true and was it anything like you imagined it to be?

Santosh Bhaskar, one of our writers wants to personally answer this question.

He says, During the pre-pandemic/lockdown and all things outdoor were “normal” he had the chance of visiting a beautiful place GOKARNA, a gorgeous city on the shores of the Arabian sea in the south western region of an Indian State, Karnataka. He always dreamed of collaborating for entertainment, travel with strangers and make new friends and gather tons of solo experiences.

This trip of his literally was a DREAM came “knocking on the door” true and fueled his passion towards travel out the ordinary. He has written a detailed post on it and answers the question in an unbelievably meticulous manner. To be brief, his imagination had a few details only when in reality  the trip had so many twists , experiences and as he cites was a trip to savour for a lifetime.

  • Why did you start your blog?

At the core reasons for creating Arhaaths, we, a team of 5 IT professionals who have been online since the inception, we have seen so much data that we have felt that the vast gap in knowledge disposal, the evident information is present but the information that is actually needed isn’t posted. So, we have had a calling that said you do what you can do to make people’s life easier, interesting and entertaining. Also, an allusion to the improving self though blogging as it forces you to educate yourself what you do not know and provides a platform to speak about what you do know. When we begin writing a post, we are obliged to bring together our opinions and be honest to ourselves before being honest with everyone around us. Also, Arhaaths exists for establishing a product of future tech in the hope to assist a common man with everyday life.

  • If you could take one thing/occurrence out of the history of Mankind what would it be? Why?

As an Indian answering this question is easy, it is the most horrendous event, The British Invading India and separating EK-Bharath into 2 countries. The worst part of that incident is the tremors are even felt today across the cultures and the unresolvable border frictions.

The thing we would like to remove is humans being invaded by other humans, by this we mean every person today is looking for approval from another person irrespective of the fact that we are self-sufficient to live our life. If something our ancestors have shown us is that if the society recognizes you, you are regarded a luminary otherwise meh…, One of the main reason why our mental health(weak) is questioned over and over again is because even if we think we don’t need acceptance not getting any pushes us to the edge of a succession of immoral feelings.

  • Did the current situation around the Pandemic have any positive side effect on your Life? Can you give an example?

The Time available to spend during the pandemic is so much that it would be a crime not to work on improving yourself, be it mentally, physically or even learn a skill out of the ordinary. We at Arhaaths are utilising this time to work overtime to increase our projects revenue (not like we have a choice otherwise but anyway) and in turn helping the country’s GDP in a ridiculously small sense. Few of us are using this time to research ways to blog efficiently and an opportunity came knocking in the form of this award where we have guest bloggers trying to know us and form a community. We are also devising plans on how to be nicer to ourselves and others around us.
